Aus Coast Diving recently completed a salvage of our vessel Louisiana which sank in Melbourne. The team
headed up by Kadeem & Jayce traveled from central NSW at very short notice to undertake a very
difficult salvage in the heart of Melbourne.
Work boats, air bags, cranes, barges, diving equipment, and road transport had to be arranged, which
would have posed logistical challenges.
Due to unknown variables such as the depth of the water (deeper than estimated) , the weight of the boat
(heavier than what we estimated) and the how it was sitting on the bottom of Victoria Harbor, the
salvage plan had to change many times. Marine Engineering reports were also required at short notice to
keep the project moving.
In addition to this, ACDM had to satisfy and report to numerous Victorian Government safety and
environmental authorities and river managers to ensure the salvage met all governmental regulations and
requirements. Parks Victoria sent us an email that stated "I would like to congratulate you and your
salvage team for a very professional salvage. Kadeem and his team were very responsive and ensured Parks
Victoria had all the information we required".
The sinking of a vessel is an extremely difficult time for the owners trying to navigate insurances,
salvage options, landlords and numerous government authorities in a timely manner.
We, the owners of Yarra River Cruises, are extremely grateful to Kadeem, Jayce, Tom, Isaac & Tom for
all their diligent & hard work, their professional approach, their willingness to shoulder all
challenges that arose without complaint and without pressuring or complaining to the owners.
I have no hesitation in recommending ACDM for any salvage work anywhere in the country.
